The Flashforge and the QIDI printers are very similar, both being Replicator clones.

The primary difference between the two models is the price. The FlashForge is more expensive than the QIDI.

Both builds have sturdy metal frames and use similar components.

An insignificant difference between the two printers is the motherboard.

Although the boards are quite similar, which are both variations of the MightyBoard architecture, the FlashForge uses an Atmega 2560, and the QIDI uses the 1280 version. There is no performance difference between the two chips. 2560 simply has a larger flash size which is a nice feature but does not have any advantages over 1280.

Another insignificant difference is that the FlashForge boasts some colour  LEDs that put on a light show. This fact is not exactly what one would call a deal breaker for the serious 3D printer purchase.

The QIDI has 1″ diameter spool holders which will fit just about every filament spool.

FlashForge, on the other hand, wanted to use a large spool holder that will only fit spools with a bore hole over 2 inches. That can pose a significant problem if you like to use Hatchbox filaments as I do. You could always print your spool holders if you wanted to use anything smaller than this large 2-inch bore.

Another distinct advantage the QIDI 3D printer has over the FlashForge 3D printer creator pro is the acrylic side panels and metal back.

FlashForge opted to go with Black solid styrene panels on the sides and the back. The additional light provided by the transparent acrylic panels is a distinct advantage and lets visual inspection proceed without error.

QIDI support is exceptional. I had a few issues with mine, and they were extremely responsive and seemed to care genuinely about my problems. I can’t say I’ve ever had a better experience.
